Tastings & Consultations

In-studio cake tastings and consultations are available for any cake orders. Please bring with you to your appointment any items that you would like considered for design, such as fabrics, photos of bridal gown, or flowers, tux or invitations, to help me design a unique cake that tells your story.

Consultation appointments include four (4) regular cake flavor combinations of your choice from our cake menu.

To book an appointment:

• Select the number of tasters that will be present
• Choose a date and time from the calendar
• List your flavor selections
• Complete payment through Square

There is a consultation only option on the scheduler if you do not wish to include a tasting.

You will receive a confirmation email when the appointment has been successfully scheduled. Consultations are not required to order a cake.

The address is the same for both consultations and for pick-up tasting boxes, and is provided in the confirmation email once your appointment or pick-up is scheduled. Location is in Warrenton, Virginia, 20187.

Please note, consultations are not required. You can order a pick-up tasting box and we can determine details via email, if preferred. Consultations are not necessary for Simply Sweet non-custom cake orders as the design is preset.

Pick-Up Tasting Boxes

I also offer pick-up tasting boxes for anyone interested in sampling cake flavors. Tasting boxes include 4 cake flavor samples, $40 per box. Multiple boxes can be ordered for additional flavors as desired. Select four (4) flavors from the cake menu.

*all cake flavors contain gluten, dairy and eggs. Select cake flavors contain nuts, as noted in the flavor description.

Gateau is not an allergen free bakery.

**The cake samples are best enjoyed at room temperature, so the buttercream is soft and creamy. I recommend you take them out of your fridge and let them rest at room temperature at least 1 hour before sampling them.

Dates for in-studio consultations and pick-up tasting boxes are limited during wedding season.

I book a limited number of wedding cakes per week to give each cake the time and attention to detail required, and booking is made on a first paid deposit basis. I am unable to hold dates.
